Industry Connection Center Active Projects
The following are active and staffed Industry Connection Center (ICC) projects. Please contact

if you need additional information. project suggestion or would like to contribute to any of the projects.
-
AI Appliance (on-premises private AI server)
This project builds a private, locally hosted AI assistant that runs small, specialized language models on an organization's own hardware. Sensitive data never leaves the network, which supports compliance, client confidentiality, and IP protection. A lightweight router sends each query to the smallest model capable of handling it, reserving larger models for complex tasks. This replaces unpredictable per-token cloud pricing with a fixed, controllable infrastructure cost and lowers overall compute use. The result is a secure, cost-efficient alternative to routing every query through a large cloud model.
-
Building Management Service (IoT and AI server)
Develop a dashboard that presents data about building resource usage. Use it to inform decisions about resourced, security and efficiency techniques/technologies. For example, the dashboard can estimate the cost of wasted water from manual faucets, which can then be used to justify upgrading to faucets with automatic sensors.
-
External Cybersecurity Analyzer
An application that performs external vulnerability assessments. The system identifies a target the way an outside attacker would, with no internal network access or credentials, and reports findings to the owner.
-
Active Surveillance Monitoring
A mobile app that tells you if you are currently being seen on public cameras. The app would use publicly available data for locations and heading directions of traffic cameras, CCTV cameras, and Flock cameras and give them a cone of vision on the map. It would also check for buildings and other 3D data to make sure you are not falsely shown as visible when you are within a camera's vision cone but standing behind a building.

SLA Server Farm Dashboard
SLA has an extensive network of over 400 servers, many operating on different operating systems and hardware. This makes managing these servers and viewing their status quite difficult. We would like to create a program that integrates them all into a centralized dashboard. The dashboard will have a UI that makes viewing and fetching information from the servers easy.
